SafetyNet® Workshop ‘An Outstanding Success’
March 09
Over fifteen major airlines from across the world recently attended a special safety management workshop, hosted by Vistair. Taking place at the Radisson Edwardian, Heathrow, delegates enjoyed a packed programme of presentations and networking opportunities.
The workshop focused on Vistair’s safety reporting system, SafetyNet and allowed their existing clients to be introduced to new features, exchange ideas and have an open discussion on how safety management works and how this can be tailored within different organisations.
Ian Herbert, managing director of Vistair, said: “Feedback from attendees was extremely positive. It was a priority for us to bring our existing clients together to showcase SafetyNet and get feedback from users so we can constantly be updating and improving our products.
“They found the information on the new developments to SafetyNet and the Q&A session really informative and helpful. Part of the SafetyNet system involves statistical analysis and so it was really interesting to share the common ways of doing this.
“We have also just launched a community forum for SafetyNet users, where we are encouraging dialogue, sharing ideas, information and feedback. We are also in the process of setting up a working group from the meeting, looking at ways to standardise risk assessment across the industry.
“We were delighted to welcome such a large number of airlines to the workshop.”
