Vistair Provides Easyjet With A Lead On Safety

March 11

Vistair signs up easyJet for “SafetyNet” and Quality Management – providing state-of-the-art cloud-based safety compliance

Vistair, the leading provider of airline safety and manuals systems, has been selected by easyJet to provide the new generation of cloud-based comprehensive safety reporting to deliver full compliance, higher safety standards, and greater efficiency.

easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, has signed up for the full web-based safety reporting and management system from Vistair – and is one of Europe’s first airlines to adopt Vistair’s newly developed web-based Quality Management system add-on, that could cut the airline’s quality management process time by 60%.

Director of Safety at easyJet, Dave Prior said:  “As the UK’s largest airline, and the fourth largest in Europe, you need smart data handling systems and you need instant access to those data.  The Vistair web based system will enhance our ability to process safety reports rapidly and cost effectively.”

This latest contract expands Vistair’s provision of safety reporting, flight manuals, and document management systems for all three of Europe’s leading low-cost airlines – easyJet, Flybe, and Ryanair.

According to Vistair’s founding Managing Director, Ian Herbert:  “Just like our other clients, both airlines and airports, easyJet will see a dual benefit from this new contract.  They will save massive amounts of processing time through automation and reduce the delay between a report being submitted and being processed.

“easyJet’s compliance monitoring system will be supported, while the airline’s overall delivery of safety will be enhanced through more efficient and flexible data processing”, said Ian Herbert.

Vistair’s services are all geared to their web-based “Touch” system, enabling any airline or airport nominated staff to log onto those services via a single sign-on (SSO) to publish, manage, and track mandatory notices – requiring no special training.

“We have developed our entire suite of airline and airport services on the premise that anyone who can use Amazon, or social networking sites like Facebook, can instantly use our products and services.  Our products are intuitive and don’t need special training courses to use them”, said Vistair’s Ian Herbert.

Other users of Vistair’s portfolio of web-based services already include:

  • BMI
  • Thomas Cook
  • Aer Lingus
  • Flydubai
  • DHL Air
  • Flybe
  • Jet2.com
  • TAG Aviation
  • Netjets

Designed and delivered by technology specialists in the West of England, Vistair’s portfolio of web-based services to airlines and airports is unique in delivering maximum safety compliance, reducing the costs of safety-reporting, and providing a comprehensive safety-reporting system, aircraft manuals, flight-deck access, and airport briefings.

Ian Herbert said:  “This is a key to continued financial success for airlines and airports. It is significant that the pioneers of using the latest developments in airline safety reporting, manuals, and airport briefings are Europe’s leading low-cost airlines.  Those airlines have recognized the need to control costs, while sustaining a lead in prioritising safety”, said Mr Herbert.

“In their drive to continually improve the core requirement that safety is paramount, they are pioneering the way in which this priority can be delivered in a better, more efficient, and lower-cost way”, be added.
